This is a short canyon which drains north into Rancho Nuevo Canyon. The trail runs up the canyon to cross over a divide and descends into Bear Canyon. Deal Camp is located at the junction of Deal Canyon Trail and Rancho Nuevo Trail.

U.S. Forest Service map coordinates: M-17 Topographical map: Rancho Nuevo Creek Elevation: 3,700 feet (1,130 meters) Terrain: canyon Vegetation: chaparral Tables: none Stoves: 2 (grated) Water: stream (seasonal) 

Special Features: Mineral springs can be found along the trail.
Historical Highlights: This site was originally established as a hunter camp.
