Developed as a spike camp for backcountry maintenance, the camp is located at the intersection of Alamar Creek and an unmaintanced jeepway (7N05) several miles above Lower Alamar Camp.

This camp was established by Ray Rollins in the early 1970"s. Ray was a long time ,bulldozer operator for the Forest Service. He scraped out a flat area on the road side at P* 7N05 in Alamar Canyon just before the road climbs out of the canyon to the east.
