Goleta Beach has excellent picnic and barbecue areas, with plenty of playground equipment for the kids and relatively calm (and safe) ocean water to play in. There are outdoor showers, restrooms, a great pier to walk out on and both snack shops and a resturant for your enjoyment. Kayakers will find this a great place as well.

  • Cautions : You may need to cross the creek if you are heading east from Goleta Beach

Access / Parking

  1. From Santa Barbara, take the 217 Freeway exit near Patterson Avenue to the beach and take the Fairview exit just before you head up to the UCSB entrance.
  2. Turn left and drive under the 217 to the park entrance.
  3. Head into the park and then turn left and continue past the Beachside Restaurant to the far east parking area.
  4. If coming from Goleta, either follow Fairview Avenue past the Airport to the park entrance or drive through UCSB via Storke Road or Los Carneros.
