The walk out to Campus Point provides an enjoyable way to get a bit of exercize and the views out over the islands are impressive. At the Point you can continue along the cliffs and around the lagoon and there is a path along the blufftop that will allow you to head back in more of a loop fashion.

  • Cautions : You may need to cross the creek if you are heading east from Goleta Beach

  • Canine : OK for dogs on leash.

Access / Parking

  1. From Santa Barbara, take the 217 Freeway exit near Patterson Avenue to the beach and take the Fairview exit just before you head up to the UCSB entrance.
  2. Turn left and drive under the 217 to the park entrance.
  3. Head into the park and then turn right and continue through the park to the far west end.
  4. If coming from Goleta, either follow Fairview Avenue past the Airport to the park entrance or drive through UCSB via Storke Road or Los Carneros.
