Overview

Difficulty: Easy to Moderate • Paved or Dirt: Paved Path • Mileage: 14.4
Elevation Gain: 500 ft. •

The ride leads you past some of Montecito’s most scenic countryside and ends at Lookout Park, one of Santa Barbara’s most beautiful beaches. The park is a nice spot for a picnic or, if you prefer, breakfast or lunch at one of several spots in Summerland. On the return trip, the ride up to Ortega Ridge provides excellent views out over the coastline. You can either turn left on Ortega Ridge and return back the way you came or turn right and wander through Montecito, following your own route. There are numerous roads above (north of) East Valley Road that are well worth a few minutes of exploration.
