Sierra Club Hundred Peaks Section Notes
Peak Mountain is believed to have been named for its appearance. While it may not be as prominent as surrounding summits, it nonetheless has a tapering projecting tip. Santa Barbara historian Jim Blakley believes this name may have been given for this reason by local residents about 1900.
