Figueroa Mountain
Zaca Peak is the very noticeable pointed mountaintop just to the right of Grass Mountain and is accessible by foot from the Midland School trails or via the Figueroa Mtn Catway by car or bike. A spectacvular out and back mtn bike ride.

Blakley Notes
Located on the southeast end of Zaca Ridge and southeast of Zaca Lake. John Libeu, the Forest Ranger stationed at the lake, established the first Forest Fire Lookout on the Los Padres Forest there. It was composed of four tall poles with a platform, a seat and was covered by a beach umbrella. The Iookout man rode up everyday by horse to man the station. When John retired from the service the lookout was moved to Figueroa Mountain.
